KRISTEN + DAN | WEDDING
When Dan and Kristen reached out to us to capture their day, we couldn't say yes fast enough! We knew their Texas wedding would be a memorable one, filled with incredible moments that reflected who they were and the things important to them.
From the moment we drove on to Kristen's parents land (where the wedding ceremony and reception was held) we were instantly welcomed as part of the family. The Currie family invited us to continue in the celebration at the rehearsal dinner and the day-after-brunch. We were not only included in all the weekend festivities but we also were invited to stay at the lake cabins with the bridal party. What a beautiful location and opportunity to get to know the family and friends of the couple before their special day!
And their day was nothing short of special. Though it rained most of the morning, we had clear skies by the time the ceremony began. The early part of the morning began with coffee and muffins and casual getting ready. The ladies wore their monogrammed flannel shirts as they curled their hair and put on their makeup. The men watched the A&M vs Mississippi State game -- a classic Texas morning. Dan and Kristen's first look was picturesque on the dock over looking the lake. They exchanged letters and we headed to Kristen's childhood home for their 'I Do's' surrounded by their closest friends and family. After a beautiful and God honoring ceremony, the celebration continued with authentic Tex-Mex, the most incredible singing DJ we've ever heard, and a firework display because everything is bigger in Texas! Amen?!
A full and memorable day concluded with Mr. and Mrs. Nerdahl making their grand, sparkler exit. Thank you, Nerdahl's, for welcoming us into your precious family and for showing us the greatest Southern hospitality we've grown to know and love! I'm excited to continue our friendship over our shared affection for Texas, pizza and board games! We are thrilled for you guys and pray your marriage is blessed beyond what you could hope or imagine!
